Embroidery, stencil, applique, on saved, used fabric and clothing. 19 3/4″x 19 1/4″. I have long been drawn to save and create small beautiful things: fragments, hand sewing, fabrics from my childhood, embroidery, stenciling.




From my installation in the exhibition, “Louisiana Environments,” at the Contemporary Arts Center, New Orleans, LA, 1977. Mended wall, saved objects in wall, found glass wall piece, studio coal from a wood firing of clay.
